DESCRIPTION | Tech. form colorless or pale yellow crystal. M.p. 64-71°C (peak
67°C), ( varies with even small-1%-change in isomer ratio. In water
51.5 (5°C), 93.4 (25°C), 270.6 (35°C) (all in ug/l, pH7). In
isopropanol 11.5, xylene 349.8, dichloromethane 3878, acetone 2102,
ethyl acetate 1427, petroleum ether 13.1 (all in mg/ml, 20°C).
Stable to 150°Cto air and sunlight; in neutral and slight acidic
media; epidermises in presence of base, hydrolysed in strongly
alkaline media. DT50 (extrapolated) 50 d (pH 3, 5. 6), 40 d (pH 7),
20 d (pH 8), 15 d (pH 9) (all at 25°C). |

TOXICITY: | Acute oral LD50 for female rats 166, male rats 178, female mice 48,
male mice 43 mg/kg. Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats>5000mg/kg;
mild skin and eye irritant (rabbits); non-sensitizing to skin
(guinea pigs). Inhalation LC50 (4h) for rats >1.97 mg/l. NOEL
(2y) for rats 250 mg/kg diet; (90d) for rats 100 mg/kg diet. |
MODE OF ACTION: | Non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. |
USE: | It can be used against a wide range of insect pest in public health
(e.g. flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes, fleas, lice, bugs) and in
veterinary application (ectoparasitic ticks and mites). In plant
protection, it is effective against Coleoptera and Lepidoptera and
gives good protection against Orthoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, and
Homoptera. Mainly used in alfalfa, cereals, cotton, grapes, maize,
oilseed rape, pome fruit, potatoes, soya beans, sugar beet, tobacco
and vegetables. |
USE PRECAUTION: | Do not use in mixture with other alkali pesticides.If swallowed,
get medical attention. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and
water.Do not apply this product nearby lake , rivers, permanent
streams, marshes or natural ponds. |
